While owning and operating Island Solar Films for 8 years, Don and Terry Coldwell began selling blinds 5 years ago as an additional home based service. As the demand for blinds and window coverings grew, it became apparent that the business needed its own identity, which became Paradise Shades and Blinds Ltd. 

In order to better serve their customers, Don and Terry opened a storefront for Paradise Shades and Blinds Ltd. in July 2018.

Don Coldwell

OWNER

Don Coldwell is a certified solar & security window film / mirage retractable screen systems installer with 8 years of experience. Prior to owning Paradise Shades and Blinds Ltd. with his wife Terry, Don worked for 20 years in sales & management for a heavy equipment & trucking company.

With a team of factory trained technicians, Don sees that each project is installed with care, dedication, and is on time.

Terry Coldwell

OWNER

Terry grew up working in a family-owned retail business and has approximately 50 years experience in retail. After raising 3 children and moving back to the Island in 1992, Terry also worked as a bookkeeper while Don and Terry were self employed.

Terry has 5 years experience in blind sales, first as a home based business under the Island Solar Films name, and now as Paradise Shades and Blinds Ltd. Terry enjoys meeting a variety of people & being able to help them make the correct choice for their wants & needs for either their home or business.

Norm Polten

INSTALLER

Norm grew up working in a family blind manufacturing business, before focusing on blind & other window coverings installations. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Norm is a certified blind installer, and an expert with repairs and cleaning.
